Peregrine falcon cam
Watch live footage from the peregrine falcon nesting box at our Mill Creek Generating Station
Live view from an active nesting site
Our Mill Creek Generating Station features a live web camera focused on a peregrine falcon nesting box. When falcons return to the nesting box (usually every February), the camera is turned on for the world to see and provides a rare opportunity to observe peregrine falcons as they return, nest, and raise their young. Activity varies throughout the season, and periods of quiet are a normal part of wildlife behavior.
Since 1999, nearly 200 peregrine falcons have been successfully raised and banded at LG&E and KU generating stations, contributing to population recovery and scientific research. Banding helps wildlife experts track migration patterns, survival rates, and long-term species health.
