Serving homes and existing businesses always comes first. New connections are planned and built so existing customers are not impacted — and any customer-specific upgrades are paid for by the customer requesting them.

When new or expanding projects are proposed, our role is clear: provide energy in the most reasonable and least-cost manner while maintaining system reliability for everyone.

We perform extensive studies whenever there is a request for large new electric service — such as a data center, manufacturing facility or major residential development. These studies help ensure we make any necessary system enhancements before service begins so reliability is protected for all customers.
