Heat pump water heater
- Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) greater than or equal to 2.2
Central air conditioner (split system)
- Product Type is “CAC - Split System”
- SEER2 (Btu/Wh) greater than or equal to 15.2
Ductless heat pump (mini split)
- Product Type is “HP - Mini or Multi Split”
- SEER2 (Btu/Wh) greater than or equal to 15.2
- EER2 (Btu/Wh) greater than or equal to 11.7
- HSPF2 (Btu/Wh) greater than or equal to 7.8
Air source heat pump (split system)
- Product Type is “HP - Split System”
- SEER2 (Btu/Wh) greater than or equal to 15.2
- HSPF2 (Btu/Wh) greater than or equal to 7.8
Natural gas furnace
- Furnaces do not qualify after Dec. 31, 2028
- Efficiency (AFUE) greater than or equal to 95%

Application information

On your application, you will:

provide your first and last name and email address,
choose how you would like to receive you rebate payment,
select the type of equipment you have installed,
provide the date of purchase and date of installation,
provide an AHRI certificate if available,
provide the brand and model number for the equipment,
upload a clear photo of the equipment installed at your home,
upload a clear photo of the manufacturer’s label showing model and serial number,
upload a clear image of the invoice or receipt.

You may be able to find the brand and model number on the paperwork your contractor provides you. You can also find the brand and model number on a label (sticker or nameplate) on the equipment. For central air conditioners and air source heat pumps, please provide the model number for the outdoor unit.

Review the list of typical locations of the brand and model number based on equipment type.

Heat pump water heater: On the side of water heater
Central air conditioner (split system): On one side of the outdoor unit or inside an access panel of the outdoor unit
Ductless heat pump (mini split): On one side of the outdoor unit
Air source heat pump (split system): On one side of the outdoor unit
Natural gas furnace: On the side of the furnace housing or inside an access panel of the furnace

You can choose from the following payment options:

Mail - Checks will be mailed directly to customer address as it is listed on their billing account.
Electronic payment option – Your payment will be processed and sent to the email address on file. You will receive an email from LG&E and KU <app@echecks.com> containing a link to Deluxe Payment Exchange, where you can select and set up your preferred electronic payment method.

Qualifying equipment

A split system air conditioner uses electricity to provide cooling to all, or at least a large portion of, a home. A home must have ductwork to have a split system air conditioner. The ductwork is used to move cool air to rooms throughout the home and return warmer air to be cooled again.

It can be difficult to tell if an outdoor unit is an air conditioner or a heat pump. If you need help identifying what type of equipment you have purchased and installed at your home, please email us at EECustomerSupport@lge-ku.com.
