Demand Conservation program
Get bill credits for helping reduce electricity use during high-demand events. This program is not currently accepting enrollment.
Limit peak energy use and earn incentives
Demand Conservation pays residential and small business customers to allow brief, safe cycling of enrolled central air conditioners, heat pumps, water heaters, or pool pumps during periods of high electricity demand.
A device installed at your home connects to your equipment and allows LG&E and KU to manage cycling remotely — keeping your home comfortable while reducing strain on the grid.
Enrollment is currently closed. When it reopens, review the FAQs, confirm your equipment qualifies, and sign in to My Account to enroll.

What to expect during an event
Demand response events occur when electricity use is high, or system reliability requires it. During an event, enrolled devices may be cycled off and on for brief periods. We notify customers in advance when possible and manage cycling to balance comfort and energy savings.
